Instead, I wanted to post a short blog update about the newest story content on my site. This isn't meant as a self-promotion so much as education. No one seems to know what these stories are. So, let me indulge in an explanation. All the stuff talked about below can be found on my website under the Stories -> Dying Words section.

The first installment, titled simply Dying Words, was published on my site in April of 2011. This was meant to be a short, sappy and sweet yuri romance tale amongst a group of first-year students at a private literary school for girls. The reactions I got to it were interesting. Most people who liked my Touhou writings really didn't like this new style of work from me, but the new stuff attracted a different set of readers that liked it really well. Guess that makes it all a wash.

The next installment was a single-chapter short, Extra Word. This was a quickie that gave some background information from two of the characters who got less screentime in the first story.

Most recently, the newest installment is Next Word, which applies yuri romance to the issue of coping with the death of a loved one. Response to this is much the same as the rest of the continuity so far. Old Ibunshu fans hate it, new yuri-readers love it. More importantly than all that, I like writing in this storyline. Girl-girl romance has long been a passion of mine, and so is personal coping with emotional/moral issues. These factors and others effectively make the Dying Words stories pure brain-porn for UD.

Really, an author needs no more reason to write than to love what he's writing.

 See all blog entries

 Please read the Site Info Page for disclaimers, site information and terms and conditions for use.
 var gaJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ?
